I am actually in love with the clothes in Urban Outfitters right now! I totally broke all the pre-pay day rules this weekend and ended up having a full-blown shopping spree. I did have a bit of an excuse though, this months Elle magazine had a 20% off Urban Outfitters voucher inside, so I thought it would be rude not to, wouldn’t it?
I found it really hard to be selective in store, I really like their bo-ho gypsy style jewellery and lace bras, but I also love their crop tops and their summer totes. So after spending approximately 45 minutes in the changing rooms and a lot of deliberating, I walked out with a new bra, an oversized stripy shirt and three necklaces – result!
The shirt is thicker than it looks so it’s a great addition for the spring wardrobe as we start to phase out the winter jackets and pretend it’s warmer than it is! It looks great tucked in to high waisted jeans too, but for this outfit I opted for the ‘let it all hang out’ look.
I’m also really embracing silver jewellery at the moment, I love the way it stands out against my green nails – which by the way are £1 stick-ons from Primark (amazing)! You can always rely on Urban Outfitters to put a nice collection of jewellery together, the set of three I’m wearing came as a pack and each necklace is set at a different length so they sit really nicely on a plain T-shirt and they can be worn separately too.
I would also like to point out that this cute little bag is from Tesco! I have spotted quite a few gems in good ol’ Florry and Fred recently, a few short sleeved work shirts for summer, peep toe pumps and this bag. It’s the perfect compact size for a quick trip to town but also smart enough to take to an evening meal or a night out, plus it’s not black – well done me.
I am counting down the days, now that it’s ‘officially spring’, until we can dress like this everyday and lose the heavy winter jackets, but I think we might have a few months to go before this is a regular situation.
