Urban Outfitters Shirt

I am actually in love with the clothes in Urban Outfitters right now! I totally broke all the pre-pay day rules this weekend and ended up having a full-blown shopping spree. I did have a bit of an excuse though, this months Elle magazine had a 20% off Urban Outfitters voucher inside, so I thought it would be rude not to, wouldn’t it? I found it really hard to be selective in store, I really like their bo-ho gypsy style jewellery and lace bras, but I also love their crop tops and their summer totes. So after spending approximately 45 minutes in…

Monochrome interiors

I read somewhere once that to add impact to monochrome themed rooms you should add a third accent colour, in my living room I’ve opted for a zesty lime green, but this could be dusty pink, grey, duck egg blue or even yellow! I think black-and-white is such a timeless look, both in fashion and interiors. I am guilty of owning a very black wardrobe, I can’t help it – my excuse is that my accent colour is my blonde hair. But seriously I love the monochrome themes and stunning photography that lives on Pinterest. I probably spent (at least)…

Danielle Street Style

I’m often torn on what to wear on the weekends. Do I dress up, maybe wear some heeled boots and curl my hair to go into town? Or do I dress down, shove my hair up, throw on an oversized jumper, jeans with pumps, and go? Well last weekend I opted for the latter! I must admit I love making an effort on the weekends, when I can be bothered, but I also love the chilled out, I haven’t made an effort (even though I spent 2 hours getting ready) look. Although I often end up perving on everyone else’s…

Polyvore favourite sunnies

Move over chilly weather and winter blues, it’s time to get excited for the summer. Now that we’ve had a cheeky glimpse of those first rays of sunshine, it’s time to stock up on the essential spring/summer accessories, the almighty sunglasses! What’s not to love, you can leave the house for emergency shop runs with no make up on, pretend you can’t see someone coming (avoid, avoid, AVOID) and best of all you can people watch and by people watch what I really mean is spy on people -particularly useful when sunbathing. I’m so glad that it’s actually acceptable to purchase…

Danielle Gourlay Workwear

Zara is my go to shop for work wear. Granted Zara is probably my go to shop for casual wear, knitwear, night-out wear… well pretty much all wear – but seriously, I love their laid-back cuts, low crotch trousers and sophisticated blazers. H&M is also up there amongst my favourite high street stores for total effortless chic, every season I purchase too many of their blouses! I used to have one wardrobe for work and one wardrobe for out of work, but I’ve found that my clothes are so versatile (and gorgeous) that I don’t want to deprive them of…

Ikea Citrus-Tree

Since having my own flat, I love going interior shopping almost as much as I love clothes shopping. I think at least one Sunday a month warrants an Ikea/Home Sense/T K Maxx/Debenhams home accessories shop, hoard, haul, whatever you want to call it! So this Sunday I ended up in Ikea, pure heaven – if you exclude the 25 trolly bashes to the leg, screaming children and monstrous queue at the end. I went in looking for a lemon tree. After seeing one on Pinterest I’ve had it in my head that I need to get one for my flat…
